Ray Park

A Scottish actor, martial artist and stuntman, best known as the Sith Lord Darth Maul in Star Wars l: The Phantom Menace. Had is first speaking part in X-Men as Toad and is one of the contingent of G.I. Joe in the role of Snake-Eyes.  Raymond Park was born in Glasgow Scotland where he was raised until age 7, when his family moved to London.  Interested in martial arts, he began training in Shaolin Kung Fu, along with various other styles, most notably Wushu in which he holds a second degree black belt.  By age 16, Ray won Great Britain's Martial Arts National Championship for his class, and later traved to refine his skills in Malaysian.  He went on to compete in Martial Arts World Championships before being approached to work  as a movie stunt double which ultimately led to the audition for George Lucas' upcoming Star Wars prequel in which Park was given creative freedom to do his own choreography.
