Mark Hamill

An American actor, comedian, writer and voice actor. Hamill is best known for his portrayal of Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy (1977–1983) and as the voice of The Joker in Batman: The Animated Series. Born Mark Richard Hamill, in Oakland, CA the middle child of six siblings. He majored in drama at Los Angeles City College and made his acting debut on "The Bill Cosby Show" in 1971 and his film debut in Star Wars in 1977. For his portrayal of Luke Skywalker, Hamill was twice honored with the Saturn Award for Best Actor, in 1980 for Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and in 1983 for Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.
