Eric Bana

An accomplished Australian dramatic film and television actor and comedian, he received Australia's highest film and television awards for his performance in Chopper. Winning three Australian Film Institute Awards, Best Actor at the 2000 Stockholm Film Festival and also the AFI 2000 Best Actor Award. Born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He began a career as a stand-up comedian in 1991 and made his film debut in 1997 in the movie 'The Castle', in a supporting comic role. That same year, in spite of his lack of experience in dramatic roles, he was cast to portray Read in Chopper after Read himself suggested Bana for the part. His most popular films include Hulk (2003), Troy (2004), Munich (2005), The Other Boleyn Girl (2008) and Star Trek (2009).
