Carrie Fisher

She attained international recognition as Princess Leia, a role that made her a cultural icon, in the original Star Wars trilogy. Born in Beverly Hills, Ca, the daughter of actress Debbie Reynolds and singer Eddie Fisher. She began appearing with her mother in Las Vegas at age 12. Carrie attended The Central School of Speech and Drama in London and made her film debut opposite Warren Beatty in Shampoo in 1975. Along with her writing career, she also became a successful re-writer of movie scripts, and continues to be one of the most sought-after 'script doctors' in Hollywood.
