Billy Dee Williams

An American actor, artist, singer and writer, best know for his role as the roguish Lando Calrissian on the Star Wars trilogy. Born in New York City, NY with a twin sister, Loretta, and grew up in Harlem.  Williams graduated from the Manhattan's School of Performing Arts.  He made his film debut in The Last Angry Man, but his big break came with his role as Chicago Bears football star Gale Sayers in Brian's Song and was nominated for an Emmy Award.  His most recognized role as Lando began with The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi and led to another notable role as district attorney Harvey Dent (Two Face) in the 1989 Batman.  Williams has recorded a jazz LP and his art work can be seen in the National Portrait Gallery, The Smithsonian Institution and The Schomburg Museum.
