Beau Bridges

Is a U.S. three-time Emmy Award-winning actor. Perhaps best known as one of The Fabulous Baker Boys, opposite his brother Jeff Bridges in 1989. Born Lloyd Vernet “Beau” Bridges III on December 9, 1941, just two days after the attack on Pearl Harbour, he was delivered by candlelight because of a power blackout. Son of actor Lloyd Bridges and his wife, Dorothy Dean Bridges, he was actually named for his father; the nickname "Beau" was borrowed from Ashley Wilkes' son in Gone With the Wind. In April 2003, Beau received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, next to the stars of younger brother Jeff Bridges and father Lloyd Bridges. In January 2005, he was cast as Major General Hank Landry, the new commander of Stargate Command in Stargate SG-1. He has also played the character in Stargate Atlantis.
